In our endeavour to be an institution of excellence, and therefore an institution of choice, Goldfields FET College continuously strives towards improvement, innovation and creativity. Our recent achievements are testimony of our commitment to offer relevant and quality service to the community. The college has been acknowledged by the Free State Department of Education for excellent performance in areas such as student achievement, corporate services, college-industry-community linkages and college ambiance.

Based on our proven track record in the offering of Learnerships and Skills programmes, the Department of Labour awarded an Employer Skills Development Agency (ESDA) to the college. A significant milestone in our strive towards quality service is the registration of the college Quality Management System with the South African Bureau of Standards for ISO 9001:2000 (LS 4142) in August 2008.

The most recent development is the establishment of comprehensive sports facilities on both the college campuses, a project funded by the National Lottery Board.
